Mumbai, May 01: Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL) has posted a net profit of Rs 2,604 crore for the fiscal ended March 31, 2004 and proposed a dividend payout of Rs 521 crore. This year's income includes realisation of long standing dues from various state electricity boards, an official release said today.
One time receipts of delayed payment charges accumulated over the past several years have yielded Rs 637.07 crore and the arrears of energy bills upto September 30, 2001 were liquidated by various sebs in form of bonds earning interest of Rs 557.60 crore for the company.
NPCIL operates all the fourteen nuclear power plants in the country which have combined capacity of 2770 MW.
