Bangalore, Oct 24: Train services between Bangalore and Mysore, disrupted following the derailment of a train at Palahalli in Mandya district yesterday, were restored late last night, according to South Western Railway.

Services of as many as seven trains had been cancelled after the rail mishap that claimed four lives, while eight trains continued to operate till Mandya. The rail traffic was restored to normal with the resuming of two trains services between the two cities late last night, sources said.
The road traffic had to bear the impact of the disruption in rail traffic as overcrowding in buses between the two cities were order of the day yesterday. To meet the huge rush, Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation provided additional buses on the route.
