Bangkok, Oct 10: Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today said connectivity which enhances the quality of economic cooperation should be promoted and offered Thailand an unlimited number of flights to and from 18 cities in India besides the four major metros. "I was happy to hear from Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra that Thailand would reciprocate this offer," Vajpayee told a gathering of over 500 Thai and Indian businessmen at a function organized by the India-Thailand Chamber of Commerce. He said the bilateral tourism agreement between the two nations would give further impetus to India's tourism exchanges. Vajpayee told the businessmen that India had agreed to promote the idea of cross-regional tourism linkages to "enhance the attractiveness of Asian destinations to tourists". A twin-city relationship is to be set up between port Blair in the Andaman Sea and Phuket in Thailand.
