AAI records highest ever profit
New Delhi, Dec 08: Airports Authority of India (AAI) earned a profit of Rs 282.05 crore for 2002-03, the highest since the inception of the organisation.

A dividend cheque for Rs 62 crore was presented by AAI chairman S K Narula to Civil Aviation Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy here today.
AAI had paid Rs 55 crore dividend for 2001-02.
AAI has contributed Rs 287 crore to the government exchequer in the form of income tax, tax on dividend for 2002-03.
Narula said AAI had taken airport improvement initiative at 24 airports at an estimated cost of Rs 65 crore initially and the long-term project would end by 2004.
Assuring government's full support, Rudy said AAI has emerged as one of the strongest organisations under his ministry. Bureau Report
