High-level meet on internal security

Home minister L K Advani will inaugurate the conference. Ministers of state for home I D Swami and Vidyasagar Rao will attend the conference.
The meeting will discuss strengthening of internal security mechanism in the country in the light of the recent terrorist strike in the United States, the emerging global coalition against terrorism and the evolving situation in the neighbourhood, an official release said. The mechanism for handling disasters of the type which resulted from the collapse of the twin World Trade Centre Towers would also be reviewed, it said.
