Nasik, Aug 26: Rail traffic on the Central Railway track between Mumbai and Bhusawal, affected following detection of scores of detonators near Kasara and Ghatandevi areas last evening, was restored late last night after the explosives were collected from the spot by the bomb disposal squad. The up and down traffic restored at 1.10 pm last night after a special bomb detection and disposal squad from Nasik rural police collected the explosives from the spot, CR sources said here today.
Hours after the twin bomb blasts in Mumbai, that left 50 dead and 139 injured, more than 100 detonators were discovered inside a tunnel between Kasara and Ghantadevi, near Igatpuri. Following the discovery trains on that route were halted.
1401 DN Mumbai-Manmad Panchavati Express, 7605 Kurla-Nandigram Express and Mangla Express were stopped on the tracks near Khardi and Kasara while several trains were stopped at Nasik road, Manmad, the sources said. Bureau Report
