New Delhi, Mar 30: A day after celebrating completion of five years of Atal Bihari Vajpayee's prime ministership, NDA top brass today held marathon discussions to face the next Lok Sabha elections and the need to fine tune the strategy to get a bigger mandate. The seven-hour long meeting, chaired by the prime minister, discussed issues that could influence national politics ahead of the general elections and coming assembly polls, accelerate implementation of welfare programmes and project the achievements of the regime in a better way. The meeting, described as 'chintan baithak' (introspection session), also deliberated on ways and means to improve coordination among allies and effectively counter the "disinformation by political rivals," BJP president M Venkaiah Naidu told reporters.
