Dubai, July 12: The UAE President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan is to pay full treatment expenses for the sole child survivor of Tuesday's plane crash in Sudan in which all 115 passengers were killed. Two-year-old Mohamed al-Fateh, who miraculously survived the crash, is being flown to the United Kingdom for injuries suffered in the crash, reported the official UAE news agency.
Isa Abdullah al Nuaimi, UAE ambassador in Sudan, has informed the Sudanese authorities about Sheikh Zayed's offer and visited al-Fateh at the hospital and listened to the doctors' briefing on his health condition. ''A medical team was flown in full swing to Khartoum and is currently attending the health condition of the child, who will be flown to London for treatment in a specialised hospital there,'' said a statement from the UAE President's office. Sheikh Zayed, who is currently on a private visit to Geneva, had announced Wednesday that he would pay for the child's treatment. Bureau Report
