Court hears appeal challenging Sarabhai`s `show movements`
Ahmedabad, Nov 21: A sessions court today heard arguments on an application filed by the Gujarat goverment challenging the movement of danseuse Mallika Sarabhai, accused in alleged visa racket, that required her to go outstation for various performances.
Ahmedabad, Nov 21: A sessions court today heard arguments on an application filed by the Gujarat goverment challenging the movement of danseuse Mallika Sarabhai, accused in alleged visa racket, that required her to go outstation for various performances.
Public prosecutors J M Panchal and Chetan Shah filed the application before sessions judge P B Desai and contented that "the case was very serious in nature and that the accused person should be allowed to go outstation only if it was an emergency."
Sarabhai, who was granted permission by the court, to proceed to Pune for a performance today and tomorrow had also filed another application seeking to go for another show from November 23 to 29.
