Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah on Saturday demanded retaliatory action against militant groups and their training camps in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK) and also in Pakistan saying it is high time that immediate army action is taken. "If the US can strike Afghanistan after the September 11 attacks in Washington and New York, why cannot we take action against terrorists operating from Pakistan?" Abdullah asked while talking to newsmen at a NCC girls prize distribution function at Nagrota, on Friday. "Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed much bloodshed during last 12 years and the patience of the nation cannot be stretched to bear more killings of innocent persons by Pakistan-trained and sponsored terrorists. Our capacity of tolerance has exhausted and now is the time for retailation with full vigour and vitality by destroying the training camps located in various parts of POK and Pakistan," the Chief Minister said referring to the measures taken by the US and its allies to destroy terrorist training camps and its infrastructure in Afghanistann, Abdullah said that after completion of this operation, other areas should also be targetted. The Chief Minister said "India is facing menace of terrorism for the last 20 years but the US has felt its draconian effects after September 11 when Washington and New York faced the terrorist attacks".
