Imphal, Nov 19: Four vehicles were set afire by supporters of the ongoing 48-hour Sadar Hills bandh in Manipur, which has hit its transport services with the neighbouring north eastern states. The vehicles - a four wheeler and three wheelers were set on fire at Keithelmanbi Lamkhai area of the Sadar Hills in Senapati district yesterday, official reports said. The bandh, scheduled to end at 6 pm today had been called by the Sadar Hills district demand committee to press for conversion of the area into a full-fledged revenue district.
More than 200 vehicles, including buses ply daily between Manipur and the neighbouring states through these national highways, the sources added. Bureau Report
