New Delhi, Sept 20: Continuing its competition on the fare structure with other domestic carriers, private airline Jet Airways today announced extension of its reduced fare scheme for another six months in 44 sectors across the country. The `Everyone Can Fly` scheme, under which the fares were drastically cut down by almost 50 per cent provided the ticket was bought at least 21 days in advance, was extended till March 31 next year. The scheme was to have ended this month.
The private carrier had announced the scheme in July this year, with Indian Airlines and Air Sahara following suit.
Indian Airlines is yet to take a decision on whether to extend its `apex` fare scheme, though Air Sahara has a similar scheme on till the end of this year.
The 44 sectors on Jet Airways` route map include major sectors like Delhi-Mumbai, Delhi-Kolkata, Delhi-Chennai, Mumbai-Kolkata, Delhi-Guwahati, Delhi-Hyderabad, Delhi-Pune and Delhi-Bangalore. Bureau Report
