Hyderabad, June 21: Naxalites of banned People's War Group (PWG) shot dead an activist of a voluntary organisation involved in a government-run watershed programme at Devarakonda in Nalgonda district, police said today. Chairman of Vivekananda Youth Club, D Janardhan Reddy (35), was gunned down by three armed naxals yesterday when he was returning along with his friend from his field.

The reason for the killing was not known immediately, police added.
