Mumbai, Oct 05: Filmmaker Shashilal Nair today tendered an apology before Bombay High Court for approaching Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray in the wake of actress Manisha Koirala meeting the Sena supremo regarding screening of the controversial movie ''Ek choti si love story''. The Bombay High Court had issued contempt notices against Nair and Manisha Koirala for approaching the Sena chief when a dispute over the screening of the film was pending before the court.
Nair apologised before a division bench comprising Justice R M Lodha and Justice Dilip Bhosale for his conduct. Nair was accompanied by his lawyer V R Manohar and also filed an affidavit to this effect.
Manisha Koirala, however, could not be present at the court, as she was undergoing treatment for a hairline fracture at the city’s Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre here.
The division bench adjourned hearing on the case till October 17 and asked Manisha Koirala's lawyer Satish Maneshinde to file an affidavit by October 10.
