Raipur, Jun 02: Lt Gen Krishna Mohan Seth, PVSM, AVSM (retd) today took oath as the Governor of Chhattisgarh Chhattisgarh High Court Chief Justice K H N Kuranga administered oath to Seth at a function held at Raj Bhavan lawns. Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, his cabinet BJP leaders, NCP state unit President V C Shukla, senior civil and police officials amd eminent citizens were present at the swearing-in ceremony.
Lt Gen Seth was earlier the Governor of Tripura and swapped positions with Dinesh Nandan Sahaya, who served Chhattisgarh for 31 months since its formation on November 1, 2000. Born on December 19, 1939 at Allahabad, Seth had an illustrious career which included successfully leading counter-insurgency operations in Manipur, Southern Assam, Mizoram and Tripura. Before his retirement on December 31, 1997, he also held the post of adjutant General of Indian Army, Raj Bhawan sources said.
