New Delhi, Aug 25: Election Commission today said it would be "difficult" for it to hold assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh along with those in five states scheduled in November-December this year if the assembly is dissolved. "It will be difficult and may not be possible to hold the polls along with the five states" and the Commission has got six months time to hold elections in the event of dissolution of the UP Assembly, EC sources said.
UP is a major state and therefore preparation for the polls and ensuring up-to-date electoral rolls would take time, they said.
