New Delhi, Sept 09: Two days before the CBI is to submit its report before the Supreme Court in the multi-crore controversial Taj Heritage corridor case, the agency today summoned former standing counsel of Uttar Pradesh Ajay Agarwal and sought clarification on the accusation about alleged a massing of property by the former Chief Minister Mayawati. The CBI sleuths questioned Agarwal about the property of former chief minister and also took the documents from him that he displayed at a press conference at Lucknow on September four claiming that Mayawati had transferred certain properties in the name of her brother and other confidants. When asked to confirm, Agarwal said he was summoned to the CBI as the agency needed some clarifications about the property of Mayawati. "CBI also asked me questions pertaining to my allegations that she was transferring properties in the name of her close confidants," Agarwal told a news agency.

Meanwhile, the CBI`s top brass including its Director P C Sharma are understood to be giving final touches to the report which is to be submitted on or before September 11 to the Supreme Court.


The CBI has questioned former Chief Minister Mayawati, former UP Chief Secertary D S Bagga, former State Environment Secretary R K Sharma and Union Environment Secretary K C Mishra.
The CBI report is believed to be running into more than 400 pages and is likely to be submitted on September 11 before the apex court. Bureau Report
