Barisal (Bangladesh), Mar 16: The body of a 35-year-old man has been found in this southern Bangladeshi coastal region where a ferry carrying 35 passengers capsized in stormy weather, officials said. Several more might be trapped inside the ferry, the officials said, noting the rest of the passengers were either rescued by fishing boats or swam to safety.
A government ship fitted with a heavy crane has begun to pull the ferry from the Tetulia River near the island district of Bhola, 170 kilometres south of Dhaka, a police official said.
The ferry, ML Cyprus, with a capacity to carry 150 people, capsized late yesterday near Bhola Island after it was caught in a storm, an official earlier said.

Ferry owner Osman Mia said that there were some 40 passengers on board when it sailed from Barisal to nearby river terminals.
