Mumbai, Apr 28: Cigarette manufacturer Godfrey Phillips India has posted a 32.3 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 52.04 crores for the year ended March 31, 2004, as against Rs 37.91 crore posted during the same period of the previous fiscal. The company's income from sales rose to Rs 1,175.89 crore during the year under review, as against Rs 1077.34 crore posted during the same period of the previous fiscal, Godfrey Phillips India said in a release here today.

Godfrey Phillips India president K K Modi said that the company's exports, which would be a focus area for the future, posted a 36 per cent rise, despite a decline in dollar. Bureau Report
