Srinagar, Sept 04: A polling station in Zanskar constituency has been set up for just 11 voters, the lowest number at any polling station in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said today. Another polling station, for just 32 voters, has been set up in Kargil Assembly segment, they said.
Out of the 219 polling stations for the two constituencies, Zanskar and Kargil, going to polls in the first phase on September 16, eleven have been set up exclusively for women voters, the sources said.
Meanwhile, poll arrangements in the two constituencies were today reviewed by chief secretary I S Malhi and chief electoral officer Pramod Jain at a meeting with the district administration in Kargil.

The district election officer said almost all the arrangements have been made to ensure smooth, free and transparent conduct of the elections.
He said over 86,000 voters are eligible to exercise their right to franchise in Kargil district. Kargil segment has 64,000 voters while Zanskar segment has 22,700 voters.
He said 95 per cent voters of the district have been trained to operate the electronic voting machines by the mobile teams.
He said 28 polling stations have been specified as sensitive and 12 as hypersensitive. Bureau Report
