Thiruvananthapuram, June 30: The Samajwadi Party unit in Kerala today merged with the state unit of Janata Party. Announcing this at a meet-the-press programme, Janata Party national working president Vijay Mallya said SP state president, G Prakesh, SP general secretary G Pradeep along with their district unit presidents and followers had decided to merge with the state unit of JP. Mallya said JP was holding talks with like minded parties in Madhya Pradesh to arrive at an electoral alliance to contest the coming assembly polls in that state. On the liquor policy of the state government, Mallya said it was "not at all investment friendly" for beverage industries. Bureau Report
