Uttar Pradesh government was on Sunday considering whether or not to allow VHP and Ram janambhoomi nyas leaders into Ayodhya for their meeting on March 14, a day ahead of their proposed symbolic 'bhoomi puja' near the disputed site, even as the administration fearing mass court arrests is identifying places for makeshift prisons. Divisional commissioner A K Gupta on Sunday said that the government was considering whether or not to allow the leaders and activists into Ayodhya for the crucial meeting following security threats. The administration will assess the threat perception and take a decision accordingly, he said. Meanwhile, the government has asked DIG (prisons) to identify places where makeshift prisons can be set up to meet a situation where a large number of people would come forward to court arrest, police sources said in Ayodhya. The administration has kept at least 250 buses ready to carry those arrested to the prisons, they said. Gupta said that prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CRPC were already in force in Ayodhya and it would continue till March 31.
District magistrate B P Mishra said that the administration would act if there is any breach of law and order. Bureau Report
