Hyderabad, July 17: Andhra Pradesh government would strengthen intelligence network, intensify highway patrolling and keep a vigil on bus stations to check robberies, home minister T Devender Goud told the assembly here today.

Refuting opposition charge that the incidents on highways were on the rise, Goud said number of highway robberies had come down in the state. He assured members that highway patrolling would be further strengthened and vehicles would have a medical kit and police personnel would be given training in fist-aid to treat accident victims.
Efforts were also on to improve investigative skills of police to check highway robberies, he added. Bureau Report
