Mumbai, July 17: Aftek Infosys registered a 26.89 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 42.15 crore in the financial year ended June 30, 2003, compared to Rs 33.67 crore posted during the previous fiscal. The company`s net sales rose 49 per cent to Rs 92.01 crore during the reporting fiscal, as against Rs 61.55 crore posted during the same period a year ago, Aftek Infosys chairman Ranjit Dhuru said in a release on Wednesday.

The software firm`s net profit rose to Rs 11.23 crore in fourth quarter ended June 30, compared to Rs 9.15 crore posted during the same period of FY-02, while its net sales increased to Rs 25.94 crore from Rs 16.35 crore posted a year ago, he said.

On a sequential basis, Aftek posted a three per cent increase in net profits and an eight per cent increase in net sales, the chairman said.
The company`s European operations contributed 33 per cent of the income in FY-03, while that from its services business has doubled to Rs 61.60 crore from Rs 30.74 crore posted in FY-02, he said. Bureau Report
