Allahabad, July 08: Charging the BJP with making the Ayodhya a political issue ahead of general elections due next year, Samajawadi Party vice-president Janeshwar Mishra today said the NDA government is likely to bring a bill in the Parliament soon for handing over the disputed site for construction of the Ram Temple there. In the event of such legislation falling in the Lok Sabha the BJP-led coalition government may ask for dissolution of the house and seek a fresh mandate by making the Ayodhya issue an electoral issue, he told reporters here.
Stating that BJP intended to polarise country's polity by bringing in such legislation in the Parliament, he said the opposition, including the SP, would oppose such a legislation tooth and nail as and when it is tabled in the house.
He said that the opposition would not allow the BJP and other Sangh Parivar outfits to take political advantage of the
Ayodhya issue even if major ruling party goes for general election before it is due next year.
