New Delhi, July 28: Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day today as a mark of respect to sitting Congress member George Eden who died here on Saturday. Eden, 50, represented Ernakulam parliamentary constituency in Kerala.

Condoling Eden's death, Deputy Speaker P M Sayeed said he had known him for many years and in his death, he had lost a personal friend.
An advocate by profession, Eden was an active political and social worker and was a member of Sree Chitra Tirunal institute for medical sciences and technology, Thiruvananthapuram.
The house stood in silence for a minute in memory of the departed soul.
