Chennai, Aug 11: Indian senior volleyball men's team will play tournaments in Slovakia and Romania from August 14 to 24.
The team, presently preparing for the Asian senior men championship slated to be held in china next month, would greatly benefit from these tours where they would be competing against the national teams of Poland, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Romania.
"The team now training in Bangalore would leave for Slovakia via New Delhi on August 13," Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) secretary K Murugan said in a press release. After playing in the Tomes Trophy International volleyball tournament in Slovakia from August 14 to 17, the squad would proceed to Romania for the competition from August 20 to 24, Murugan said.
Bristo Heiv, the Bulgarian who is training the Indian team now, will be the chief coach and who will be assisted by Dr H D Krishnappa of the Sports Authority of India.

The team - setters: Kapil Dev and Suraj Prakash, attack: Abhijit Bhattacharya, Avinish Kumar Yadav, Amir Singh and Raghuveer Singh; block: Yejju Subba Rao, S Rajeev and S Vinod, universal: Tom Joseph and Shijaz Ahmed and libero: Manoj.

Azeez Ahmed of the Indian Overseas Bank will be the manager.
