UP Assembly budget session begins
Lucknow, Nov 10: Budget session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly begins today and the financial statement for the year 2003-2004 will be presented on November 14 by Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, who also holds the finance portfolio.

As per the schedule prepared by the business advisory committee of the state assembly, the budget session would continue till December 2 next.
Following political instability, the government was not able to present this year's budget in time.
Meanwhile, the Oppositipon parties have geared up to corner the state government on the law and order issue.
Leader of BJP Legislature Party Lal Ji Tandon said that communal riots have broken out at many parts of the states in last few weeks vitiating the atmosphere of the state and added that his party would raise the issue of failure of Mulayam Singh Yadav-led government in controlling law and order.
