Beijing, Aug 18: Rescuers have failed to find the twelve miners trapped in a flooded mine in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality eleven days ago, official sources said today. Relief and rescue workers have been working round-the -clock pumping out water from the mine and digging new passages ever since the mine was flooded on August seven. They failed to find the bodies of the victims despite pumping out all the water in the mine by yesterday morning. A total of 22 miners were working underground when the Yanwan coal mine in Shapingba district of Chongqing . Three workers escaped on time, while seven were rescued that night.
