New Delhi, Feb 01: In an effort to put the Bharatiya Janata Party Uttar Pradesh unit in election mode, the party is holding a meeting of the its core group of state leaders for a detailed constituency-wise analysis in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.
The meeting of the core group will be held at the residence of BJP president M Venkaiah Naidu followed by that of state and district level office bearers for an elaborate stock-taking of the political situation, party spokesman Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told newspersons today.

He said that the BJP's 'Mission 2004' envisages a target of winning 300 seats for itself and two-thirds of the Lok Sabha seats for the National Democratic Alliance.
Asked if former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Kalyan Singh would be invited for tomorrow's meeting, Naqvi said, ''His return to the BJP cannot be that early. You may have to wait for some more time.''
Uttar Pradesh BJP chief Vinay Katiyar, Union Ministers Dr Murli Manohar Joshi and Rajnath Singh, senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member Kalraj Mishra are expected to attend the meeting to take stock of the overall situation while the district level leaders would give their views on local situation prevailing in their constituencies.
