Colombo, Nov 24: Former England captain Nasser Hussain has joined his country's Test squad ahead of the three-Test cricket series against Sri Lanka starting December two, a spokesman for the team said today.

Besides Hussain, Graham Thorpe, Mark Butcher, Geraint Jones, Matthew Hoggard and Robert Croft have also arrived here to bolster their team for the Test series, Mark Hodgson said.
"They are all practicing" along with the remaining players of the one-day squad, Hodgson said. Some of the one-day players were sent home at the end of the rain-marred three match one-day series that the hosts won 1-0. Two matches were abandoned due to rain.
England will be able to get some practice, if it does not rain, when it faces a three-day match against a Sri Lanka cricket President's XI, beginning Wednesday.
"We want the Test-playing guys to get a good three-day game and the practice in, so there is concern that the rain could leave us a little unprepared," coach Duncan Fletcher told reporters.
The England team will travel to the southern port city of Galle, 110 km south of Colombo on Saturday.
