Ahmedabad, Aug 30: A local court in Gandhinagar today remanded five persons, arrested in connection with the Akshardham temple attack case, to 14 days police custody.

today remanded five persons, arrested in connection with the
Akshardham temple attack case, to 14 days police custody.
All five were remanded to custody of Ahmedabad crime
branch police for 14 days after they were produced in the
court of Chief Judicial Magistrate S H Oza at Gandhinagar as
the complaint was registered there.
Two of those arrested by police are Muslim clerics who
ran relief camps in the city and were identified as Mufti
Abdulqayyum Mansuri and Maulana Abdulmiyan Sayyed while the
others are Salim Hanif Shaikh, Altaf Akbar Hussain Malek, both
locals who worked in Riyadh and allegedly hatched the
conspiracy there, and Adam Suleman Ajmeri.
Thirty-two people, including three security personnel,
were killed when two armed militants attacked the temple on
September 24 last year.
