Los Angeles, July 17: Cameron Diaz is wrapped up in a legal struggle over photos taken at a private modeling session more than a decade ago. The actress has asked a court in Los Angeles to prevent the images from being sold, saying she never signed a document authorizing their release.
In a related development, the photographer who took the pictures has become the target of in a criminal investigation. No word yet from either side as to the exact content of the pictures. Speaking of controversial photos, there's been another round of courtroom drama involving Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas. The couple's lawyer has told a British judge that the two suffered "real personal distress" from the publication of unauthorized images depicting their wedding, and experienced "an invasion of privacy."
Zeta-Jones and Douglas are hoping to recover damages from Hello! Magazine, which published the unauthorized pictures. It's been in theatres for less than a week, but the Disney hit "Pirates of the Caribbean" is already on its way to a comeback. Producers of the action flick are making plans for a sequel, and have locked in co-stars Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightly. Also slated to take part in the follow-up production are producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski. So far, "Pirates of the Caribbean" has grossed more than $75 million dollars at the U.S. box office.
