Hyderabad, June 09: A body of Ayodhya karsevaks today endorsed the allegations of five accused in Babri Masjid demolition case that L K Advani and other senior BJP leaders had instigated karsevaks to pull down the disputed structure and that they were being discriminated in the case vis-a-vis the VIP accused.
"We agree with what the karsevaks had confessed at the CBI special court in Lucknow on June 7 that senior BJP leaders instigated them to pull down the structure," national convenor of Akhil Bharat Ayodhya Rammandir Karsevak Sangh, A Venkateswara Rao told reporters here.
The charge had been strongly denied by BJP.
Reiterating the contention of the five accused, Rao, who participated in the 1992 karseva and came out of RSS two years later, said, "when the crime is same all accused should be tried in the same manner but there has been discrimination as some VIPs were separated from the trial".
Rao and T Venkatesh, who showed photographs of their participation in karseva along with ID cards, said: "There was no need for anyone (the five accused) to give tutored evidences against BJP leaders".
Advani's lawyer Satyapal Jain had dismissed charges of the five accused, including the priest of the Ram Lalla temple, saying the evidence was tutored against Advani.
The Sangh, formed in 1999 by about 1,300 karsevaks from across the country, would continue its struggle for building the Ram temple, he said.
