Mumbai: 'Taare Zameen Par' star Darsheel Safary considers superstar Aamir Khan as his mentor in Bollywood and wishes to do more films with him in the future. Safary got rave reviews in the 2007 drama 'Taare Zameen Par', co-starring and directed by Aamir.

The actor will now be seen as Abhay, a teenager smitten by love on the Bindass show 'Sun Yaar Try Maar'. "I'm very much in touch with Aamir uncle.


I keep taking advice from him as to what roles I should do and what I shouldn't. In fact when I was preparing for Abhay's role, I drew inspiration from Aamir's character from 'Qayamat se Qayamat tak'.


"My career in the industry so far has been shaped by him. He is my mentor. My dream is to do more films with him as I look up to him," Safary said in a statement.


The 18-year-old actor plays a teenager who is madly in love with his childhood friend Chandni and would go to any extent to impress her.


The episode will air on January 17 at 6 pm on the channel.
