New Delhi, Nov 03: Jyoti Randhawa is banking on his "excellent record" at the Delhi Golf and Country Club (DGC) course to pull off a hat-trick of wins at the Hero Honda Masters Golf Tournament starting here next week.
With his confidence at an all-time high following a historic win at the Suntory Open in Japan last month, Randhawa starts as hot favourite in the November 6-9 Asian PGA tour event.
If Randhawa holds aloft the trophy on Sunday, he will have won the Hero Honda Masters on all the three occasions the tournament has been played at the DGC. He won back-to-back titles in 1998 and 1999, before the tournament moved to DGC for the next two editions.
"Hero Honda Masters has a special place in my heart because it provided me my breakthrough victory on the Asian PGA tour," said the 31-year-old Randhawa who has concentrated mostly on the Japanese PGA tour this season and is currently placed 36th in the Order of Merit.
"I am not playing too many events on the Asian PGA tour this season, but the Hero Honda Masters was being played at home and I could not let go the opportunity.

"I have an excellent record at the Delhi Golf Club and am excited about my chances," said Randhawa, the only Indian to have featured in two majors -- the 2000 and 2003 British Opens.
