New Delhi, July 23: The CPI today expressed concern over the Supreme Court judgement declaring the Tamil Nadu government employees and teachers strike illegal and said the apex court verdict needed to be reviewed. "The court of justice has not gone into genuine prayer made before it. It declared the strike as illegal. Strike is the last resort available to working people to express their dissent and demand collective bargaining," the CPI central secretariat said in a statement here. It said the ordinance to the Tamil Nadu Essential Services Maintenance Act (TESMA) is an attack on the basic rights and security in jobs and gives draconian powers to the government. Bureau Report
