Gangtok, Jan 03: Four Bodo militants, arrested by Sikkim police from a house near the state capital on the new year's day, were remanded to 12 days police custody by a designated Pota court here. Designated Pota Judge S W Lepcha yesterday ordered 12 days police remand for Dhiren Bodo, vice president of the banned national democratic front of Bodoland (NDFB), his wife Pratima and two other accomplices Bablu Sargaeri and Prabin Bodo. When contacted, DIG S D Negi said the Bodo militants were being interrogated and the Sikkim Police had informed its Assam counterpart about the developments.

"The Assam Police team is likely to come here any time for further interrogation", Negi said.

The police had also seized two hand grenades, explosives, a computer and cell phone from the house. The NDFB leader had rented the house posing as a businessman and using a fake name, police said.
