Kozhikode, June 14: BJP's Kerala unit vice president and national executive member P S Sreedharan Pillai today criticised the UDF government for "failing" to render justice to the people of Marad, affected by the violence that claimed nine lives on May 2. At a meet-the-press programme here, Pillai alleged that there was no sincerity in the government's approach to the Marad issue and the rehabilitation of people affected by the violence had been "unsuccessful." Sreedharan Pillai said BJP would take up the problems of those minority Hindus like the Vettuvas who were included in the SC/ST and enjoying the facilities. Now they were discarded by UDF and their facilities taken away, he charged. BJP would stage a dharna, and take out a protest match on June 23 in all the district head quarters in the state in protest against the policies of the government. Bureau Report
