Ranchi, May 26: The Arjun Munda Cabinet in Jharkhand today approved the recommendation of dismissing six judicial officers for outliving their utility. Cabinet secretary Aditya Swaroop told newsmen that the recommendation of the personnel department was based on a recent High Court order to sack the judicial officers under Section 74 (b) of the State Service Code. These officers were fired under the compulsory retirement provision of the State Service Code. According to the provision, a gazetted officer completing 50 years of age or 30 years of service, whichever was earlier, could be given marching orders if he had a poor track record, Swaroop said.
