Phagwara, June 12: Bahujan Samaj Party wanted to keep the Talhan pot boiling at the instance of RSS and BJP, Jaskaran Singh Kahan Singhwala, general secretary of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD-Amritsar) alleged today.
He said that the BSP and the BJP were political partners in Uttar Pradesh and BSP's alliance with BJP-SAD combine was also on cards in Punjab.
"The party wanted to play the caste card through the political conflicts in order to galvanise its hibernating cadre and to erupt volatile caste politics to please its prospective allies," he alleged.
All political parties which were staging demonstrations over Talhan issue were shedding "crocodile tears" in order to fish in troubled waters for petty political gains, he said.
The issue could be solved only by giving due representation to the dalits in the village gurdwara committee and involving clean leaders of credibility, Singhwala said.
