Mumbai, Sept 08: UTI mutual fund has declared 18 per cent dividend under its "unit scheme 1992".
The record date for income payout of Rs 1.80 per unit (of Rs 10 each) is September 12, UTI MF said in a release here today.
The dividend is tax-free for the investors and post-tax returns to them would be higher than income payout, the release said. The net asset value per unit of US-92 as on September 4, 2003, stood at Rs 18.63.
The scheme was launched in 1992 with a primary objective to provide long-term capital appreciation by investing at least 50 per cent of scheme corpus in high yielding equities, it said. Bureau Report
