Kolkata, July 06: India should not send its troops to Iraq to operate under the command of US or UK, former Prime Minister Chandrasekhar said today. "I am against it. Why should India send troops to work under the USA or the UK armies?" he asked when questioned by reporters at a function here. The former premier said that the government should only consider sending troops to Iraq under the banner of United Nations. "If the Indian Army is sent to work under the UN banner to maintain peace and harmony in Iraq there is no harm in it," he said. Bureau Report
