Dinajpur (WB), Sept 15: Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee has reiterated her demand for a CBI probe into the Rajdhani Express derailment near Rafiganj in Bihar and asked the railway ministry to judiciously undertake maintenance of tracks and bridges to avoid such mishaps.
Addressing a training programme of TC workers in Gangarampur in South Dinajpur district last evening, Banerjee said the truth behind the Rajdhani Express disaster would come out only after the CBI is entrusted with the inquiry. The TC chief claimed that when she held the railway portfolio she tried to take all steps which were essential for maintenance of tracks and bridges to avoid accidents like the Rajdhani Express disaster.

She called upon the railway ministry to be very careful in maintenance of tracks and bridges to avoid accidents. The Trinamool chief claimed that as the railway minister she had tried her level best to implement the pending railway projects of West Bengal which included the Eklakhi-Balurghat rail line connecting Malda and Balurghat.
