Quilon-Madurai rail accident due to staff failure: Report
New Delhi, Nov 04: Preliminary inquiry into the Quilon-Madurai passenger train collision with a lorry at a level crossing between Sengulam and Tirunelveli in the Trivandrum division of Southern Railway last month has revealed that the mishap occurred due to `failure of railway staff`.

revealed that the mishap occurred due to "failure of railway
staff".
The inquiry was conducted by Commissioner of Railway
Safety, Southern Circle, Pranab Kumar Sen, an official release
said here.
The provisional findings have been forwarded to the government for consideration, it said.
A Railway employee had died and 20 others sustained injuries in the October 08 accident.
