Dhar, July 12: Madhya Pradesh Health Department has ordered the state health machinery to take concrete steps in the district to check the spread of Diarrhoea, that has claimed 11 lives since its outbreak a fortnight ago. Two persons, identified as Gajabai (35) and Dharsi (4), have died in Bhilkhedi village under Sardarpur tribal region, following complaints of vomitting and loose motions on Thursday, official sources said here today. Fourteen others were affected by the disease in the village, they said adding, of them, four seriously ill have been admitted to Sardarpur hospital for treatment while 10 are being treated in the village by a team of doctors.
Earlier, the disease had claimed four lives in Junapani and five at Sanjay Nagar in the district, the sources said.
A team of Indore Medical College and hospital is also camping in Junapani village for the last three days to help the affected people there, they said.
Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh health services director Dr Ashok Sharma, after visiting the affected areas -- Junapani and Sanjay Nagar -- ordered to take concrete steps to provide treatment to the affected persons and control the disease, they added. Bureau Report
