Mumbai, Aug 04: Mumbai High Court today suggested filmmaker Rakesh Roshan and his actor son Hritik to resolve their financial dispute with popular entertainment network in an out-of-court settlement and deferred till august 8 four petitions seeking to quash a lower court order which ordered police to probe allegations of cheating against the duo. Hearing petitions filed by Roshans, Justice V M Kanade restrained police from arresting them till august 8 in cases of alleged cheating and deferred the matter until then to enable the respondent to file reply.

Justice V M Kanade suggested the Roshans and the respondent, Jayantilal Gada of popular entertainment network to settle the matter. In such matters, where prima facie it appeared to be a civil dispute, it was better for the parties to mutually resolve the issue, he said.

A Y Sakhare, counsel for Jayantilal Gada, sought time to file an affidavit and the court adjourned the matter till August 8. Until then, police was told not to arrest them.
Counsel for Roshans, Ashok Mundargi and Dipesh Mehta, said that they would meet the other side on August 6 to resolve the dispute. Counsel for the respondent, A Y Sakhare, said that he would reciprocate by participating in the talks.

The father-son duo filed four petitions challenging an order asking police to investigate complaints of alleged cheating and criminal breach of trust filed by Jayantilal Gada of popular entertainment network against them.

The Roshans had entered into an agreement with popular entertainment network for mechandising their past and future films, including "Kaho na pyar hai".
