Mumbai, Sept 22: Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) and Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd have bagged the Indian Chemcial Manufacturers Association's (ICMA) award for excellence in health, safety and environment management for 2002-03. Nirma Ltd, Bhavnagar, and Chemfab Alkalis Ltd, Pondicherry, would share the ICMA's new award for water resource management in chemical industry.

Gharda Chemicals Ltd (GCL) has bagged P C Roy Award for development of indigenous technology and commercialisation of polyether ether ketone, a high performance specialty engineering plastics, an ICMA release said here today.
Ril's Jamnagar plant and GCL's Dombivli unit have won award for excellence in energy conservation and management, the release said.

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd's research and development centre at Faridabad has been selected for ICMA award for excellence in chemical plant design and engineering, it added.
