Aishwarya, who is representing cosmetic giant L’Oréal Paris at the gala, attended the screening of her film ‘Sarbjit’ at the Cannes Film Festival on Sunday. She was accompanied by the film's director Omung Kumar, actress Richa Chadha and producer Jackky Bhagnani.

Directed by Omung Kumar, ‘Sarbjit’ is a biopic on Sarabjit Singh, an Indian farmer who was convicted of terrorism and spying in Pakistan. He was attacked and killed by inmates at a Lahore prison in April 2013. Randeep Hooda will be seen playing Sarabjit Singh in the film.

The film is narrated through the perspective of Sarabjit's sister Dalbir Kaur, played by Aishwarya.
