Chandigarh, Sept 28: The RSS chief, K C Sudarshan, today hailed Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for not giving into us pressure on sending Indian troops to Iraq.
"Americans have burnt their fingers in Iraq war. Now when they have realised the situation is getting out of their control, they want Indian troops to help restore peace and order in Iraq," the RSS chief said at a seminar here.
"Luckily we haven't fallen in their trap and India has made it clear that it should have UN approval," he said. Sudershan also lashed out against the USA for its double standards on the war against terror. "The USA created Taliban when they wanted to use them for driving Russians away from Afghanistan, but when Taliban started hurting their interests, the Americans started a war against them," he said.
